Light

First of all, we must talk about light. Light is the origin of life and everything was generated by it. Light is energy, vitality, colour and therefore it plays an essential role in the design and the layout of a window.Try to create in your home your own type of "opening” that could offer as much natural light as possible. You can start by ensuring a proper illumination of the living room or dinning room, since these are the areas where we spend most of our time. Then, you can see about your children's rooms. Natural light plays an important role in their psycho-motor development from the first moments of their life to their first homework and readings.

If possible, try to design your house in such a way that most of the time could be spent near a window. Lighting from two directions (windows on two walls), minimize the appearance of shadows and can offer extra brightness inside the house throughout the day. Natural light penetrates easily through very high windows which are placed as close as possible to the top of the wall. Consequently, the need of artificial light is reduced.

Another important aspect is the positioning of the windows on the wall of the building. When they are properly positioned in the interior, the windows are protected from bad weather and at the same time, the facade of the building will have interesting effects (shadow effects).

As for the offices, they should also be properly lighted. Create effective "openings" and place offices in such a way that light will not hinder your work.
